"Before the Curtain Opens"
(2019-2020)
The amount of work that goes into a show, especially the week right before the show, is not something everyone gets to see. I used my unique access to the week to document what it is really like in a Youth Regional Theatre for the kids, director, lighting and sound, music director, and crew before the curtain opens. A documentary narrated by John Fanelli of Lighthouse Youth Theatre gives the audience a peek back stage.

For my final Project at the NYU Tisch Online High School Filmmaking Workshop, I created a short film about a young girl who grieves the lost of a loved one through letters. I worked alongside my crew to brainstorm ideas, then created the film in less than a week.

During the summer going into 9th grade, I participated in a summer intensive program at New York Film Academy. We each created our own short films using others in the program as actors, camera operators, and more. This is what I created. As well as making this, I also helped with other students' films by acting and operating the camera.

COLLABORATIVE: In the summer workshop I did at NYU Tisch, I took part in creating a music video to the song "Time in a Tree" by Raleigh Ritchie. My part was co-cinematography and editing, and we all helped write the plot.
